The 10th Annual Main Street Oneonta Auction on October 23, 2009 in the Atrium of the Foothills Performing Arts Center from 5pm to 8pm. There will be hundreds of items to bid on including art/craft work, gift baskets, gift certificates, sporting goods, memorabilia, and jewelry. All items are donated by local businesses and citizens. The proceeds of the auctions will go to underwrite the expenses of family-oriented community events held in Downtown Oneonta.

Bring the kids to Main Street in Oneonta on Saturday, October 31st from 3pm to 6pm for the annual Trick or Treating event with the Halloween Parade to follow at 7pm. Main Street Oneonta provides kids a safe place to Trick or Treat and enjoy the festivities with family and friends of the Oneonta community. With over 35 participating downtown businesses there are sure to be plenty of treats for everyone. All participating stores will be marked with an orange Halloween poster in their store front window.
New this year Main Street Oneonta has teamed up with Opportunities for Otsego and will be collecting non perishable food items for their annual Food Drive. Collections barrels will be located at Sport Tech and Party Perfect.

Healthy Me!, a play and expo designed to help children learn fun ways to stay healthy will be presented by Opportunities for Otsego Head Start and Early Head Start programs.  The event focuses on helping children learn about healthy nutrition, proper dental care, and good overall health practices.  Healthy Me! will be held at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta
In lieu of an admission fee, Opportunities for Otsego is requesting a food donation to support the 2009 Holiday Basket Food Drive.
