BREAKING NEWS: MEMBERS should check this section regularly for information on class or course changes, or cancellations, as well as other important information. Courses: CCAL offers its membership free courses and workshops, ranging from one-time presentations to courses meeting once or twice a week for from 4 to 8 weeks. Every six months we offer a new array of courses, including science, history, and literature; arts and crafts; health, recreation, and personal improvement. Most courses meet on the Oneonta campuses of the State University of New York College at Oneonta (SUNY-Oneonta) or Hartwick College. Others meet outdoors, or in other locations. Courses meet during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Course teachers and facilitators (many of them CCAL members themselves) are volunteers who share their knowledge and experience with us. Membership: Our $120 annual membership fee covers all courses given during the calendar year. CCAL members also enjoy free access to many facilities at our host campuses. Trips & Social Events: In order to promote fellowship among our members, CCAL sponsors periodic trips to museums, concerts, and other cultural events outside the Oneonta area. CCAL members also join together for a number of social events throughout the year. Publication: In addition to our catalogs and other mailings, CCAL members all receive the periodic CCAL Office Bulletin, with news about CCAL activities, courses and other events scheduled since the last catalog was issued. |
