Replaceable Calcium

Calcium is an important component of the cell wall in plant, and is known to stimulate root and leaf development, also, activate several enzyme reactions, and maintain the pH level in plants. Deficient calcium could be easily replaced with the application of lime to the soil.

Procedure for test

1. Transfer 5 drops of soil extract into a Glass Turbidity Vial.
2. Add one drop of Calcium Test Solution and swirl gently to mix.
3. Hold the vial about one inch above the black strip in the middle of the chart.
4. Match milky turbidity against standards on the Replaceable Calcium Chart.
