Ferric iron

Although the quantity of iron in soil could be high, very little is available to plants. Iron act as a catalyst in the formation of chlorophyll.

Procedure for test

1. Transfer 4 drops of soil extract into a spot plate.
2. Add 0.05g Iron Reagent Powder and stir.
3. Add 1drop Ferric Iron Test Solution and mix.
4. Match resulting color to Ferric Iron Color Chart.
