The Town of Oneonta is Otsego County's largest, located along Interstate 88 halfway between Albany and Binghamton. It is the home of the National Soccer Hall of Fame Field Campus and future stadium. We are a growing community with low taxes, great schools, residential developments, businesses, churches, civic organizations and easy access to major transportation routes. Our recent commercial growth has increased consumer choices in shopping, restaurants, and banking. For the home buyer, we offer residential developments close to schools and shopping, and houses priced for your budget. For the home builder, the town has slashed building permit fees and offers close cooperation between contractors and our building inspector. If you're establishing or relocating a business, look no further. The Town has cut business fees, has an expedited review process, offers an industrial park, sewage and water, and has cut town taxes by 11 percent in the last six years. We offer easy access to major transportation routes and a tax abatement program for new business development. We want to hear from you!
